Simply put, Mah-Jomino is a form of two-sided mah-jong. Believe me when I say that this particular change makes a world of difference. What would typically be a mere activity of basic matching, has been elevated with Mah-Jomino to a more solid gaming experience, that while somewhat more challenging than regular mah-jong, still retains the inviting simplicity that fans of the genre expect. In addition to its welcome game-play innovations Mah-Jomino scores huge points for the sheer quality of its presentation. The graphics and sound are beautifully done, and the adventure theme, while not exactly a revelation for this genre is somehow more realized in this game. From the artifacts to the character art, to the earthy overtones of the game’s interface, Mah-Jomino Deluxe is a joy to behold, and puts to shame many other titles which have attempted to pull off this theme. To sum things up, if you’re a fan of mah-jong, you will love Mah-Jomino Deluxe, and if you’re not a fan, play this game and you will be.
